Frames let you put glyph art on your Nothing Phone's Glyph Matrix. You pick the art, assign it to a Frame, and it shows up on the back of your phone. That's basically it.

Here's everything you need to know about how they work.

What is a Frame

A Frame is just a container. Like a picture frame, but for glyph art. It holds one piece of art at a time, static or animated. You can put your own unpublished creations in there, or grab something from the community gallery.

Frames vs Posts

You don't create Frames. You create posts with glyph art. Frames are where you display that art. You make the art, then you pick which Frame to put it in.

How Frames Display

Two ways to get your art showing on the Glyph Matrix:

Glyph Toys: You manually activate them. Your Frames show up in the Glyph Matrix carousel, and you press the button to turn one on.

Effects: These trigger automatically. Set up a Lock/Unlock effect and your Frame lights up every time you turn the screen on or off. No button pressing needed.

Using Community Art

You don't need to download anything. Browse the gallery, pick a post, assign it to a Frame. Done. It works right away.

The download button on posts is just for saving the image or GIF to your phone's storage. It has nothing to do with using art in a Frame.

Frames vs Glyph Toys

"Frame" is just what Glyph Museum calls its Glyph Toys. Glyph Toys are utilities that plug into the Glyph Matrix interface. Some come from the system, some from Glyph Museum, some from other creators. So when you see "Starter Frame" or "Frame 2" in your Glyph Toys list, those come from Glyph Museum.

Each Frame Has Its Own Config

Every Frame is independent. Each one can have its own art, its own effects, and its own settings. You can set one Frame to trigger on Lock and another on Unlock, for example.

One thing to keep in mind: some effects can only be assigned to one Frame at a time. If you try to add an effect that's already in use by another Frame, you'll need to remove it from that one first.

Free vs Supporter Frames

Free users get up to 6 Frames by completing achievements in the app. You'll unlock them naturally as you use the different features.

Supporters get everything unlocked instantly: 12 Frames, no achievements needed.

Battery Usage

Glyph Toys with always-on display or Effects that watch for device events (like Lock/Unlock) can use a bit more battery than usual. Nothing dramatic for most people, but worth knowing.

Frames Are Local

Your Frame setup lives on your device only. It doesn't sync anywhere. If you switch phones or reset, you'll have to set them up again.
